General Info

The Dickey House is a 108 year old unique and gracious Greek Revival mansion that sits on an acre of gardens. The Dickey House is and has been a Bed and Breakfast for the past 27 years. The mansion was built at the turn of the 20th century by Samuel N. Dickey, the poor son of a farmer father and school teacher mother. Self-taught, Mr. Dickey later became a prominent prosecuting attorney in Marshfield and Webster county. The Mansion remained in the family until 1970 when the daughter, Ms. Ella, passed away. As a Springfield area bed and breakfast, this majestic home invites you to step back in time while enjoying all the amenities of modern life. From the first glimpse of this massive mansion, with its four, three foot diameter hand-made columns, Widow's Walk and new beveled glass front entrance, you feel that you have touched an era that has long since passed. The Mansion has been renovated and updated in 2000 and again in 2014 and has an upscale look and feel with a blend of the old and new.The Dickey House is a 108 year old unique and gracious Greek Revival mansion that sits on an acre of gardens.
