Nestled here in the beautiful piney woods of East Texas, Bear Creek Smokehouse was born in 1943 when "Hick" & Nellie began curing & smoking their delicious turkeys and hams. Since then, mouth-watering Bear Creek smoked meats have become a holiday tradition in homes across the nation. On November 1st, 2018 the Shoults family opened the doors to a brand new 10,000 square foot General Store that also serves as an Event Center. The store is adorned with relics that the family has collected for years. Bear Creek smoked meats can be found in the store, both frozen and ready to eat. In addition to the meats and dry goods, the store also serves as a gift shop. With a whole section dedicated to bacon products and another focused on all things "Texas", the store is sure to have a little something for everyone. The General Store is very Kid-Friendly. Kids can purchase little bags of feed and hand feed the turkeys and longhorns!
