  AS OF JUNE 22, 2021 THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND THE CDC RECOMMEND THAT EVERYONE, REGARDLESS OF IMMUNIZATION STATUS, SHOULD WEAR A MASK IN ANY HEALTH CARE FACILITY.  EVERYONE WHO ENTERS OUR OFFICE MUST WEAR A MASK.  THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.  WE HAVE A MIX OF VACCINATED AND UNVACCINATED PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE AT ANY GIVEN TIME AND WE HAVE SOME VERY HIGH RISK, FRAGILE PATIENTS THAT DESERVE TO BE PROTECTED.

  In certain circumstances we may be required to report individual health information to legal authorities, such as law enforcement officials, court officials, or government agencies. For example, we may have to report abuse, neglect, domestic violence or certain physical injuries. We are required to report gunshot wounds or any other wound to law enforcement officials if there is reasonable cause to believe that the wound occurred as a result of a crime. Mental health records may be disclosed to law enforcement authorities for the purpose of reporting an apparent crime on our premises.

  Our doctors perform surgery nearly daily.  Most of our surgery is done on an outpatient basis, at Upper Peninsula Surgery Center in Marquette, Bell Memorial Hospital in Ishpeming, or Baraga County Memorial Hospital in L’Anse.  Some minor eyelid surgery is performed within our office suite.
