Not very happy with our 2000 new Beatle which has cost us nearly one or two thousand dollars of major repairs every year we have owned the vehicle. This is not the routine maintance like oil changes of adjustments. We replaced the cable to the trunk twice and to the gas cap. We even had the driver's side window fall into the door. Fog lights had water in them and would cost over $5oo to fix which we didnt fix. The car was once in the garage for a month for the the problem with the air conditioner. When the air conditioner was fixed, the AM radio would not pick up stations. Now it will be going in for rear bushings on both rear sides that had nearly cause us to have a accident because the rear would swerve. The front end now needs to be allingned. There so much more to complaine about that was not mention in this reveiw. I have owned two older beatles and a micro bus in the past and all but the micro bus was very good cars. This is the worst car we have ever owned!!
