The Marinette Recreation Department provides a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational amenities and services to the community of Marinette, Wis. It maintains a civic center that houses a variety of facilities, including an ice arena, swimming pool, water slide, wading pool, softball fields, playground area, and tennis and basketball courts. The department provides swimming lessons on water entry and exiting, direction changing, treading, diving and stroke improvement. It also provides baby-sitting training sessions on diapering, feeding techniques and rescue breathing. In addition, the department provides disabled individuals with a variety of sports activities that includes bocce ball, golf, bowling, and track and field.
