Founded in 1979, when the Reyes family opened their first restaurant in Marietta, Georgia, Tortilla El Maizal, Inc. presently manufactures corn, maseca, and flour tortillas and distributes them to more than 50,000 clients between restaurants, supermarkets, and sub-distributors throughout the United States, particularly in the Southeast. Headquartering in Marietta, Ga. and with distribution centers in Evansville Ind., Clayton N.C., and Mobile Ala., Tortilla El Maizal, Inc. s delivery force encouraged leading Mexican tortilla brands to name them the number one distributor in 2001.
