"Alex Cohen, D.O., received board certification in family practice through the Board of Osteopathic Medicine, 1980. He leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused health care professionals with a dedication to medical excellence at Conviva Care Center Cocogate. Dr. Cohen completed a residency in family practice at Metropolitan Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he also served his internship. He earned his medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa, ranking in the top 10% of his graduating class of 1977. He received a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from City College of New York in New York, New York, graduating third in his class and was the Captain of the City College Ice Hockey Team in 1965 and 1967. Dr. Cohen is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, 1974 – present, the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, 1979-present, and the Broward County Osteopathic Medical Association, 1979-present. He enjoys travel and all sports, with tennis being number one."
