Marengo Community Middle School is a coeducational institution that enrolls students in grades five through eight. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as mathematics, language arts, science, social studies, computers, music, art, physical education and Spanish. The school provides a range of athletic activities, including cross country, soccer, volleyball, basketball, track and cheerleading. It additionally offers a variety of extracurricular activities and student clubs, such as spelling bees, student council, scholastic bowl and chess, computer, environmental, Spanish and yearbook clubs. Additionally, the school provides a variety of supplies to students, including erasers, binders, notebooks, tape, poster board, pencils and highlighters. Its library has a collection of books, magazines, newspapers, dictionaries, encyclopedias, maps, electronic resources and other reference materials. The school is a part of Marengo-Union School District 165 and is located in Marengo, Ill.
