Stone Panels traces its roots to Ireland in the 1960s. In 1984, it was purchased by a Texas businessman and moved to the United States. Stone Panels provides panels for building exteriors, interiors and elevators, as well as specialty applications in the commercial industry. Ultra-light stone panels are composite wall panels made up of a thin natural stone veneer reinforced with an aluminum honeycomb backing. The stone veneer can be almost any stone, including granite, marble and limestone. There are a variety of uses, including exterior and interior wall panels, siding, soffits and elevator cab cladding. The panels can resist upward of 60 times more impact than solid three-centimeter granite. Panels can be flexed for seismic locations and are impervious to water penetration. All production is performed in Coppell, Texas, with the panels being shipped worldwide.
