Located in Minneapolis, Tubman Family Alliance is an agency providing family violence prevention services for the people of Washington, Hennepin and Ramsey counties in Minnesota. The agency operates a full range of services, including a 24-hour help line, legal advocacy, crisis shelters, counseling for the victims of violence, and family and youth transitional support services. It provides shelters for women and children in crisis situations in its emergency shelters and transitional housing units. The range of programs offered by the agency include children and family support services, Restorative Justice, Holistic Program, home-based support services, and jobs, education and training. It additionally provides Minnesota Child Response Initiative, North Side Outreach Program, and technology education and support programs. Its Violence Prevention Program provides education to students and school faculty in crisis prevention. It additionally offers various legal services for the victims of domestic violence, physical and sexual abuse and terrorist threats that include filing orders of protection and legal representation.
