Established in 1936, the Manteca-Lathrop Rural County Fire Protection District offers fire protection services. It manages a staff of a chief officer, division chiefs, fire captains and firefighters. The district features a range of fire apparatus, including quick attack squad, rescue truck and water tenders. The Manteca-Lathrop Rural County Fire Protection District conducts fire prevention, code enforcement and smoke detector programs. It additionally handles medical emergencies, traffic accidents and river rescues. The district offers fire alarm and welded pie inspection services.
