I earned a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling with an emphasis in psychology at Syracuse University. My Internship was completed at Hutching State Hospital Outpatient Servises. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor; Certified Hypnotherapist, Certified Past Life Therapist, Credentialed Chemical Dependency Counselor; Credentialed Rehabilitation Counselor; & NADA Certified Acupuncture Detox Specialist & a both a Karuna and Usui Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher. I am also an Adjunct Evaluator for Empire State College in Behavioral Science. I have worked for 30 years in the Mental Health and Chemical Dependency fields, most recently working at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, New York as a Clinical and Program Supervisor in Chemical Dependency Treatment Services and as a volunteer Reiki Practitioner. Prior to 11 years of service at Crouse Hospital, I worked as a psychotherapist at Pelion, Inc. for 17 years providing mental health and chemical dependency treatment to dually diagnosed adults. Over the years, I has become clear to me that traditional talk therapy and medication alone are often not very helpful for clients looking to experience deep feelings of well being in their lives. Neuroscience is just one of the areas of study where relatively new knowledge has helped us to see that healing is facilitated by such practices as meditation, mindfulness, movement and bilateral brain stimulation. I am now devoting myself to my private practice and am dedicated to compassionate care for my clients for the purpose of healing on all levels ~ physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
