Established in 1948, Volk Transfer is a privately owned corporation that operates as a regular and irregular route carrier and provides a range of less-than-truckload services. It offers warehouse, cartage transportation and shipment delivery services throughout the United States. The company maintains a fleet of trailers, tractors and dry vans. Volk Transfer operates a 15,000-square-foot warehouse that provides cross docking, trailer reorganization, short- and long-term storage, and consolidation and distribution services. It has a division, Volk Logistics, which was established in 1997 and is comprised of professional dispatchers who track freight through vans, reefers and flatbeds. Volk Transfer maintains its headquarters in Mankato, Minn.
