Located centrally on Lake Michigans north coast, we target the many runs of andronomous fish this lake has to offer. From September through May, trophy sized Chinook, Coho, Steelhead, and Brown Trout enter Lake Michigan rivers to start a new life. They take on a new color, shape, and attitude which makes river fishing so exciting. Northern Steel Outfitters will help you get your own Color of Chrome. We specialize in all tactics of steelhead and salmon river fishing. Whether you prefer a fly rod, float rod, or drift fishing we can provide instruction on all methods and guide you to the right tactic for a specific scenario. As an outfitter, all wading Gear and tackle will be provided. I will tailor your trip to your needs and experience level. Whether you are a beginner, novice, or expert, I am confident that I can teach you new techniques or tactics that will make your future trips much more productive and enjoyable. Most trips offered are located within 2 hours of Manistique and many options exist for different weather conditions and water levels. Select trips are also available in the Huron Mountains of Baraga County which include guide service, and all inclusive lodging on one of the Upper Peninsulas best steelhead and trout streams.
