Northview Elementary School, located in Manhattan, Kan., is a public school that offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades kindergarten through six. The school has an enrollment of more than 400 students and offers subjects, such as reading, writing, math, science and social studies. The also offers before and after school opportunities to students. Additionally, it offers a grant that provides students with laptop computers and opportunities to improve reading skills. Northview Elementary School offers English as a second language instruction for students who speak another language other than English in their homes. The school provides free breakfast and lunch to all students. The parent-teacher association hosts social events for families, sponsors a variety of school programs and organizes volunteers to help at school.
