Manhattan School District 114 offers education to more than 1,000 students in grades kindergarten through eight. The district operates elementary and junior high schools, including Wilson Creek School, Manhattan Junior High and Anna McDonald School. It provides a variety of subjects in its curriculum, including English, reading and writing, mathematics, social studies, science, computers, and health and physical education. The various extracurricular activities offered by the district include art, music, foreign language, band, orchestra, chorus, dramatics, journalism and student council. The services offered by the district include speech and language therapies, transportation and career counseling. It also provides a variety of sports activities, including cheerleading, volleyball, football, basketball, cross-country, and track and field. The district is located in Manhattan, Ill.
