We have had a friend in the Pines for several years, at first with her husband and now several years after his death she is still there. We visit her a few times a year and find her well cared for and the staff we've met has been cordial and competent. More important she feels safe and cared for and treated well by the staff who appear to make sure her needs are met. Her happiness and peaceful feeling is of great importance. David Z
This facility has to be one of the most unprofessional work environments I've ever come across. The managers for dining services treat their employees less than satisfactory and talk down to them on a regular basis. I remember dreading going into work because I didn't want to be made uncomfortable with the way the managers speak to you, especially at such a young age. It is unorganized and they honestly do not care about any problems going on aside from any issues they can be faulted for. Rough place to work let alone the pay rate is terrible.

A recommended facility but in my opinion management lacks compassion, understanding, and integrity. As my mother can be a somewhat challenging person when she does not get her way she did not conform quickly to their house rules and policies and as a result was not allowed to return after a brief hospital stay. As a result she was depressed, lost and confused. The end result was all her personal possessions were thrown out after the family did not come back to retrieve them within their 30 day guideline. We were told by the staff however to take your time when we called regularly but this was not the case. They need to understand all people are different during this difficult life changing transition in their lives and a little patience can go a long way.
