Southern New Hampshire Services is a community action agency providing a wide range of assistance programs to the residents of Hillsborough County in the state of New Hampshire. Its child development programs are designed to meet each child's individual needs, offering a variety of learning experiences that encourage social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth. It also provides elderly and supportive housing programs that offer on-site management and maintenance, laundry facilities and a community room for social gatherings and activities. The agency has an ALPHA youth services division that provides middle and high school youth with academic tutoring, resiliency training, computer skills, counseling life skills training and recreational activities. Its other programs include electric and fuel assistance program, homeless prevention and neighbor helping neighbor programs. The agency additionally provides accompanied transportation services program that offers children and their family members services to and from case-related counseling appointments, meetings, day care, school, stores and recreation sites in the Nashua and Manchester areas, N.H.
