This is a very nice retirement community to live in! The homes are built on one level with a laundry room. Most have a garage (some being attached while others aren't) which is so very convenient. There's no bothersome noise as one hears when down near busy streets. We have a great neighborhood drive-in, The Goldenrod, that's been here for decades. Ledgewood is close to Massabesic Lake where many people go to relax and watch the ducks, boats and more. It has easy access to RT. 93 and RT. 101, for when you have to get somewhere. Just one thing is missing, a basement for that extra storage space we all need. Another down side is the maintenance fee is a bit pricey for what you get. Numerous grocery stores and shopping within driving distance, just one exit down on South Willow Street or locally at Nickles and Hannaford's. There are ample restaurants, corner stores and gas stations nearby.
