The Central Arkansas Development Council s Head Start program provides a range of educational resources. It offers health, dental, nutritional and social services to children from low-income families. The program ensures children between the ages of three and four years to learn when transitioning to kindergarten. The Head Start program features training solutions for parents and supports their children s educational achievements. Established in 1967, it conducts health screenings and provides family development services. The program additionally includes food solutions. The Head Start program helps children to grow socially, physically and emotionally. It offers referrals for children and families. The Central Arkansas Development Council has more than 10 Heat Start centers.
