In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Today, we continue their mission at every Black Bear Diner across the country, as we passionately provide guests an outstanding experience. Great service, Great prices, huge portions, kid menu, senior menu ( with big portions ) A variety of menu items, you always find something new to try... And they have wood carved and stuffed animal Bears all around the outside and inside... Even the HUGE Bear sitting at the counter all dressed up, haha Plus , they have a gift section / souvenir area .. Very family oriented !!!!
