In 1979, after over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Joe Impastato opened Impastatos in Metaire. Only 5 years before, his brother Sal opened Sal and Judys in Lacombe. Now the family of restaurants extends to Madisonville with the opening of Impastato Cellars on September 5, 2013. Joes daughter and son-in-law, after working with Joe for 20 years themselves, have decided to bring the same traditional, authentic Italian cuisine to the table along with the old world ambiance of a 600 square foot wine cellar featuring over 400 labels, in addition to a wide variety of spirits and craft beers.Michael and Mica Capritto have a unique concept of choosing your favorite bottle from the cellar to bring to your table. This sets Impastato Cellars apart from other restaurants.
