  The law firm of Frymire, Evans, Peyton, Teague & Cartwright traces its roots back to its founding members, Neville “Abe” Moore (1899-1981), and Carroll W. Morrow (1907-1989). Both were graduates of the University of Kentucky College of Law. Moore specialized in mining, real estate and banking law.   Since joining the firm in 1983, Mr. Cartwright has had a wide variety of legal experience, including his primary areas of personal injury, estates, real estate and commercial transactions. Mr. Cartwright’s clients have included the Providence Independent Board of Education (1986-2007), the Hopkins County Board of Education (1990-the present), the City of Earlington (2006-2014), Hancock Bank and Trust Company and First United Bank and Trust Company. Since 2020, he has been the Hopkins Circuit Court Master Commissioner.

  1. How do I find out about judicial sales? Judicial sales do not take place until Orders are entered in the Hopkins Circuit Court. Just because a parcel of property is abandoned or possibly in foreclosure does not mean that there has been an Order for the Master Commissioner to sell it. Once the Order is entered and the Plaintiff pays for the initial advertising fee, the matter will be set for sale and will be advertised on the Master Commissioner’s website. It is recommended that you review the Master Commissioner’s website to inquire about sales.
