  I'm Steve Sorenson, I'm a practicing attorney here at von Briesen & Roper. I've been here now, I think, it's seven years going on eight, been a practicing attorney solo for 36 years, in firms ever since then.   Kyle Gulya is a Shareholder and Chair of the Government Law Group. Kyle advises both public and private sector employers with employment- and labor-related issues including regulatory compliance, antidiscrimination practices, contractual and workplace policy matters, and personnel management. He handles numerous aspects of labor-management relations from advising clients during union organizing campaigns to serving as chief negotiator during collective bargaining negotiations. He also advises clients regarding complex internal investigations and effectively resolving personnel disputes. Kyle frequently advises clients regarding employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, covenants not to compete, and confidentiality agreements. Kyle also assists clients with crisis communications and effectively handling crisis situations, and he regularly advises clients regarding Wisconsin’s Public Records Law and Open Meetings Law.

  Vicki Seltun is a Shareholder in the Labor and Employment and Immigration Sections and the Government Law Group. Vicki has more than 25 years of experience in all areas of labor and employment law for both the public and private sector, including immigration, union matters, and work with Police & Fire Commissions. Vicki assists employers in responding to allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination, conducts workplace investigations and advises on personnel and disciplinary matters. She also counsels on medical leave management involving FMLA and disability accommodations, DE&I, development of effective employment policies and practices, and wage and hour issues. Vicki holds a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of Southern Florida MUMA College of Business. Vicki also assists clients with employment and family-based immigration services.
