don't let the "hole in the wall" appearance fool you, this is the best place to find the common to the hard to find stuff other then the net. any time that i need something i can in general find it and the owner is more then willing to help. yeah he might be a little rough around the edges at times, but he's not fake and thats a breath of fresh air in a city like this. if you want a glam comic shop try a bigger city this place is for collectors and die hards
I visited this shop hoping to find some 70s horror books. I immediately noted how disorganized everything was, so I inquired with the man behind the counter, and he got a couple of books for me to browse. I mentioned I had had some luck finding some bargins at conventions simply to talk about the hobby, and he gave me a look and said if I wanted bargin books, that I should "stick with the conventions". He then gave me a long lecture on how "old" 70s books were, talked down to me as if I knew nothing of the hobby, and illustrated how valuable his books were by telling me he put them in mylar (nevermind I had gotten some of his "ultra rare" issues off ebay for next to nothing). I inquired about how much he wanted for the books, and he simply tossed down a price guide, and told me to look them up. He also presumed I was unaware such a thing as a price guide existed in the world. I was insulted by the way I was treated, and left without buying anything.

Great place to go if you are looking for back covers, huge selection on both marvel and DC comics. If your going to this place strictly for buisness, not pleasure this is not the shop for you. I came a half hour early b4 opening on a weds, the owner saw me outside and invited me in and to grab a comic and have a seat while he stocked the shelves with new comics. Chatted with him and a few other fellow nerds while he stocked up, had a great time. I agree the shop is a hole in the wall, but friendly atmosphere more than makes up. Not sure what the above reviewers issue with the store owner is, I was treated with nothing but respect. The owner wants your buisness and will go the extra mile to make sure your keep coming back. Example; setting aside comics and calling u @ home when issues you request come in. Stores only weak point is the lower selection of less popluar comics. Owner tends to sell the comics that sell well.
I went in there since I'm new to the area. When I walk in, I see a hole in the wall with piles of stuff in no order at all and the owner, an old man, chatting with a regular and makes me wait until he's finished chatting. He then decides to "help" me by talking down to me and giving long winded speeches because he doesn't like the answers I give him to "What are you looking for?" He does this in front of two regulars whom he helps without the long speeches and snootiness he shows me. I felt it was a waste of time and gas going here, and never plan on returning. It was the worst service experience I ever had in a store. Going there was the worst decision I ever made. Stores like this one make me an advocate for online shopping.
