Dr. Paul NaftaliMadison Eyes is owened and operated by Dr. Naftali, a graduate of Duke University. He completed his professional training at the University of California at Berkeley in 1989 graduating 2nd in his class. He performed an optional additional year of residency at a unique combined program between the Pennsylvania College of Optometry ( now Salus University ) and Hahnemann University Hospital Department of Ophthalmology in Philadelphia from 1989-90. Dr. Naftali has 20 years of practice experience ; he has developed strong interests in the treatment of glaucoma and macular degeneration due to his own family history. He also has stayed tuned in to developments related to the prevention of myopia ( nearsightedness ) progression, and the latest methods of contact lens correction for vision correction.Madison Eyes is a family-centered practice that treats patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly. The goal is to meet the complete eye care needs of individuals and families with an emphasis on eye health, vision, comfort and style. Services offered include wellness and medical eye exams for children and adults ages six months and up, availability of high quality eyeglasses, and all types of contact lenses. Two licensed opticians are on staff providing individualized attention and style consultation. In addition, Madison Eyes offers treatment for urgent medical eye problems 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as well as pre-operative and post-operative care for laser vision correction.James Lacotte, O.D., ( right ) Associate Optometrist at Madison Eyes, examines Julia Blumert of of Chatham NJ, at a back-to-school appointment. A comprehensive eye exam provides the best opportunity to treat and correct vision problems and is one of the most important to-dos as children head back to school.Early detection and treatment provide the very best opportunity to treat and correct vision problems to help children see clearly. The AOA recommends that a child's first eye exam take place at six months of age.
