I operate a party fishing boat in Panama City, FL. and get exactly the same comments. One day you're a hero and the next a zero. Give me children and women and I'll have them out fishing the men ten to one. The secret? They listen to the mates and captain on how to fish. M ost have no preconceived ideas on technique. As for beer ,the crew can cut you off when you get drunk and unruly. One drunk can ruin a trip for everyone. We sell fishing trips,bars sell beer. To catch fish it takes a jerk on the end of your line , not the one on the end of the pole. Let yourself enjoy the trip, fish are secondary.

I just read the 5 reviews about Hubbards Deep Sea Fishing and had to laught. I have been going out on this trip for over 30 years and have never been treated bad. I have always (and I mean always) been treated great, I have always caught plenty of fish, and the food from Tammy is always great. No I have not been paid to say this, just thought I would write what I have seen for many years. I am planning another trip real soon. As far as the twenty dollar tip for the mates, I always give at least fifty, for all the help these guys give on the trip. Thanks Hubbard's for all the great memories I have fishing with you.

GREAT! i have gone on both the half day and 12 hour trip multiple times and every time i have caught 20+ fish the crew is very helpful and the food is wonderful. I wish i could fish with these guys every day. Next time i will attempt the 34 hour trip.
The worst fishing trip I ever went on. There were 2 boats full of people and between both only 5 Red Groupers were caught that were keepers. We moved more than we fished. We had a pool that should have been for the customers only in my opinion and ofcourse the capt. put himself where he got the pot. I wouldnt recomend them to anyone. You are not allowed to bring your own beer on the boat like other trips I have been on all over, and they charge 3 dollars a beer. Hubbards is a bust.....

i have been going on 1/2 day fishing trips from hubbards since4 i was a kid. im now 45 . my best fishing memories were from hubbards . my dad is 72 now and we are going out in the mornin. afterward we will have our fish cleaned and cooked as is our tradition.i will write another review to let you know how good it was. the trip and the fish im certain to catch :)

The worst fishing trip ever. Only a few people caught fish they could keep. The captain was very rude to the customers and spent most of the time trying to fish for himself. I paid a lot of money upfront to get a good spot only to have a friend of the captain take my spot. The worst of all they wait until you are out on the boat to tell you that they expect another $20 per person as a tip for the crew. And if you want to have a few beers don't bring your own like you do on the other boats. The captain wants to milk you for more money for that too. It should be sold as a 12 boat ride not a fishing trip.

went on the 12 hr trip.. fun but forgettable.. more moving than fishing (only about 4.5 hrs).. only caught a grouper and shark.. not worth the money
