Appling Middle School is located in Macon, Ga., and offers classes to students in grades six through eight. The school provides special educational programs and extracurricular activities to students with exceptional needs. Its wide range of curriculum includes language, literature, media studies, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, physics, chemistry, biology, social studies, earth and environmental science, family and consumer science, health and nutrition, and computer and physical education. The school offers its students various other subjects, such as visual art, music and dance. Its media center houses a large collection of books, magazines, journals, encyclopedias and audiovisual reference materials. The school has various language, mathematics, science and performing arts clubs. It offers various sports activities, such as wrestling, football, baseball, basketball, softball, and track and field. Additinally, the school provides after school tutorials and counseling sessions, health care, meal and transportation services to students.
