Roosevelt Elementary School is a public school that is a part of the Lynwood Unified School District, which operates more than 15 educational institutions with a combined enrollment of over 17,500 students. The school organizes a variety of extracurricular activities, such as field trips, book and science fairs, picture days, fall festivals, dance competitions and talent shows. Roosevelt Elementary School employs a staff of nearly 35 full-time, certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes computer laboratory assistants, special education instructors, instructional aides and classroom teachers. The school maintains a library media center that offers a collection of approximately 5,000 books on animals, biographies, mysteries, fantasies, adventures and humor. Located in Lynwood, Calif., Roosevelt Elementary School teaches students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
