Ed Gillis (with Keller Williams Realty in Bothell) was very proactive when we were getting ready to sell our rental property in Everett. He would show up almost every other day and gave advice on upgrading and repairing. We were very impressed with him and signed the contract for 5 months. He convinced us to pay him up front so that when we sell the house, he would only charge us 2.5% commission instead of the standard 3%. He asked for $3,000 up front but we agreed to pay him $2,000 (non-refundable). THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE!!! Once he got our money, he never called us unless we call him and towards the end of our contract, he screend our calls and never returned our calls. That was end of our $2,000. We evetually signed up with another agent and sold the house.
