My daughter took my cockatiel to Northshore Animal Hospital to be euthanized because she had become a chronic egg-layer, and it was having severe effects on her health, and the avian vet had told me the only option was hormonal treatment which was far more expensive than I could afford and might not work. The front desk staff didn't want to euthanize the bird. The girl went into the back area, and came out and said there was a sanctuary in Maine that might be able to take her and treat her, and if they wouldn't, they would euthanize the bird. Thinking that the bird would have a chance at a healthy life, and if not, would at least no longer be suffering, I told my daughter to go ahead and surrender ownership. Later that afternoon, I called and was told that the sanctuary had agreed to take my cockatiel. This morning, I had my daughter call to ask how the bird was, and had she been taken to the sanctuary yet. After the staff told her that the bird was fine, was eating and happy, but hadn

I am very grateful for Northshore Animal hospital. My family all bring there dogs to them and we have since they opened. The owner Dr. Dave Dunn is a caring, skilled Dr. I have always been treated well by the staff. We have had many emergencys over the years and have been taken care of with compassion and professionalism. We had an emergency on a holiday weekend and Dr. Dunn came from home to fix my dog and didn't charge outrageous.
