NBTY, a leading vertically integrated global manufacturer and distributor of a broad range of nutritional supplements, purchased Solgar in August 2005. Solgar is an independent operating unit of NBTY with worldwide headquarters and state-of-the-art manufacturing and laboratory facilities located in Bergen County, N.J.
