Alumni starters are poo. Bought one for 97 GMC seirra 5.7ltr. (Limited lifetime warranty) replaced once. But because of me installing with road grime stained hands the seem to think rear seal is leaking. Keep in mind I bought the motor for salvage yard with 24000 miles on it. But to save trouble later I bought valve cover gaskets, front and rear seal and oil pan gaskets before I installed the motor from Oreilly Auto parts as well. Engine has been in place for 7 to 8 months. So if its leaking already then I guess the rest of there parts are poo too. Since the starter has been replaced with the (new) started, I've been towed home 3 times due to starter hanging up. Good luck if you buy from here. They don't honor lifetime warranties. Or didn't for me.
