General Info

Marina Chavez MD is a board-certified psychiatrist. She graduated from TTUHSC school of Medicine. She completed residency in psychiatry at TTUHSC. She went on to do a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of New Mexico. She worked as a community psychiatrist. Prior to returning to academic medicine in 2014 she had worked with the VA in Lubbock. Dr. Chavez is fluent in Spanish. She enjoys supervising residents and teaching medical students in an adult general psychiatric setting.
