Provided by YP.comI don't live in Lubbock, but was there late December 2016, and took a jacket to Alterations Unlimited to have the zipper repaired. I paid almost $60.00 for the repair. My zipper completely broke early January 2017. I called Alterations Unlimited, spoke with the owner Veronica, and asked for a refund. Veronica refused to give me a refund and said their repair of the zipper was not faulty and didn't care to see pictures as proof. Terrible customer service. Terrible work. I do not recommend Alterations Unlimited for your alteration needs. My family will take their business elsewhere.

Provided by YP.comThe first two times Ive had great and quick service with this company the 3rd time was horrible. I've only had dresses hemmed which are normally $14 ...so that's what I'm expecting every time I decide to get a dress hemmed. Unless they tell me different. When I picked up both my dresses on my lunch break ..$14 for one dress + $14 for the other + Plus $4 for the straps to be taken up as well = $32 (not including tax) ....so I paid the $32 not knowing one of my dresses wasn't done until I got home at 6pm. I couldn't call them then because they close at 6. The next day I call them and tell them that one of my dresses wasn't done and I would bring it back on my lunch break. Which wasn't a problem either. Lady asked if I was going to pick it up today or after Christmas holiday because they would be closed. I explained to her that I'll have my mom pick it up. *this is were I'm getting upset...my mom tries to pick up my dress and they say I owe $54 !!! How do I owe 54 when I've already paid for the services I thought were already done.

Provided by YP.comI should start this off by explaining that I spent about $300 on tailoring in the last two weeks at this place. The last item I took (and will EVER take) to this place was a very nice men's dress shirt. It had french cuffs that needed to be replaced. I asked them if they had ever done this before and they assured me that they did it all the time.
When I picked up the shirt, aside from grossly over charging me, the replaced french cuffs and collar was done with table cloth quality material! And they had replaced a button in the center of the shirt which was clearly mismatched. The collar and cuffs were extremely floppy and I knew something was wrong. I took it to Rachel's Fine Fabric's to try to find the correct cloth for the replacement where they LAUGHED at the quality of the work!
I learned from this establishment that they were supposed to use "broadcloth" and "interfacing" on the inside to give it support -- mens' dress collars are suposed to be extremely stiff. Additionally, the collar was unevenly sewn to the shirt and when buttoned together it bunched together at the collar button! The shirt also had "overstiching" which I knew was not on the original -- this work really looked like some sort of halloween costume that I made! The expert at Rachel's told me that anyone remotely qualified would know NEVER to do something like this. She asked me who the tailor was so that she could tell people not to use them!
I took the shirt back to them and requested that they redo it with the correct broadcloth (which I had purchased and brought to them.) The woman angrily refunded half of my money and told me to go somewhere else. And refused to refund the remaining taxed portion. The woman who normally operates the register was smiling and laughing when I could no longer hold back my frustration with their incompetence.
The reaction on the part of the store clerk is really the majority of the reason I am writing this. The rest of the reason is to warn anyone considering using their services to avoid them like all hell.
