Founded By George Williams, Young Men's Christian Association has been operational for more than 100 years. One of the United States oldest and largest nonprofit social service organization, YMCA offers a wide variety of community-based programs and services for children, adults, and senior citizens. Open from Monday through Saturday, the Greater Lowell Family of YMCA s programs include health and fitness, aquatics, camping, family, child care, community development, arts, sports, and teen trips. Located in Lowell, Mass., the organization features indoor and outdoor swimming pools, fully equipped gymnasium, aerobics and dance studios, free weight, general purpose, steam and sauna, drop-in baby-sitting and preschool rooms, handball and racquetball, indoor running track, course ropes challenge course, and whirlpool and Jacuzzi.
