Since 1909, the Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Lowell has been providing a variety of home health care services to residents of Lowell, Mass. It is a private, nonprofit, community-based home health care agency that employs trained nurses, physical, occupational and speech therapists, medical social workers and home health aides. The agency offers a wide range of services, including wound care, diabetes education, infusion therapy, maternal-child health, ostomy care and services in various other specialty areas. It also offers a variety of rehabilitation and stress management services. The agency provides health care consultation to hospitals, nursing and assisted living facilities, residences for special populations, work sites and physician practices. The Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Lowell is certified by Medicare and Medicaid, and is a member of various organizations, such as the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts.
