Founded in 1979, Alleghany Regional Hospital offers health care services and diagnostic equipment. It also provides osteoporosis screening, oncology, pastoral, nutritional and laboratory services. Alleghany Regional Hospital offers emergency services for a range of injuries and illnesses, such as broken bone, stomach pain, laceration, burn, emotional distress, poisoning, chest pain and heart attack. Its cardiac rehabilitation center offers treatment services for patients with coronary artery disease. With more than five operating suites and a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, the hospital offers surgery services for breast, ophthalmology, thoracic, urologic, and ear, nose and throat.
