Founded in 1950, Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Protection District is one of volunteer and combination departments of Jefferson County Fire Service. The department covers an area of more than 55 square miles and serves the citizens of Pleasure Ridge Park and Valley Station in southwestern Jefferson County, Ky. It works with a team of over 220 firefighters. Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Protection District works to protect the lives, property and environment of the city of Clayton from the threats and occurrences of emergencies. It offers fire suppression, hazardous materials mitigation and emergency medical services. The department also provides services that include fire prevention, business inspection, and search and rescue. Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Protection District is located in Louisville, Ky.
