  James M. Gary is a member of the Litigation Practice Group of the firm and has been in practice for over 42 years. Mr. Gary focuses his practice primarily in the areas of general civil litigation, insurance defense, medical negligence, and products liability defense. He has been involved in a wide variety of litigation work, including statewide defense of product-based claims and asbestos-related claims. He has also handled personal injury and wrongful death cases.

  Joseph "Joe" Haddad is an associate with the firm’s Financial Restructuring Group, although his practice also includes corporate litigation and veterans' advocacy. Prior to joining the firm, Joe served for two years as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Thomas H. Fulton, Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Kentucky.

  Michael E. Lannon is a member of the estate planning group of our firm and has over twenty-five years of tax, estate planning, business formation, and business operations experience. He represents publicly-held companies, closely-held companies, banking institutions, partnerships, limited liability companies, and other business entities in the process of formation, private offerings, ongoing operations, restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions. He also negotiates and drafts contracts for business entities and represents them in tax planning as well as in tax controversies before state and federal authorities, U.S. Tax Court, and federal district courts. Additionally, Mr. Lannon has extensive experience in estate and tax planning for individuals.

  Because Mr. Cohen represents both plaintiffs and defendants, he is able to think through and synthesize issues from all perspectives, distill complex cases to their essence, anticipate opponents’ tactics and advocate effectively on behalf of his clients. In representing Plaintiffs, Mr. Cohen has obtained numerous substantial, million-dollar-plus jury verdicts. On the defense side, Mr. Cohen has been equally effective, successfully defending clients against substantial, multi-million dollar claims before juries. In addition to his success at the trial court level, Mr. Cohen has successfully argued cases before the Kentucky Court of Appeals, the Kentucky Supreme Court, the Federal Sixth Circuit and Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He has helped establish legal precedent in several areas of the law, including the limitations of sovereign immunity, the First Amendment Rights of government employees in academic settings, various principles in employment law and various principles in business law.

  Andrew Draut is a member of the Litigation Group of the firm and has been in practice for over forty-two years. Mr. Draut has litigation experience in such areas as products liability, premises liability, insurance coverage and bad faith, medical negligence, and workers compensation claims.   Pam is a corporate and real estate lawyer with extensive experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and landlord and tenant representation. As the former senior attorney for Kentucky Fried Chicken, she gained experience in these areas. Pam is a native of Cincinnati, where she received her undergraduate degree at the University of Cincinnati, and obtained her law degree from the University of Louisville. She was admitted to the bar in 1975 and is a member of the Kentucky and Louisville Bar Associations.
