Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates, also known as KODA, is an independent, nonprofit organ and tissues procurement agency. Established in 1987, the agency offers a range of awareness programs for organ and tissues donation. It promotes donations of various organs, such as heats, kidneys, pancreas, lungs and livers. The agency also provides awareness programs for corneas, skin, heart valves, veins, bones and cartilage donation. Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates offers training programs for hospital staff members who present the option of organ donation to bereaved families. The agency provides presentations to schools, civic groups and churches. Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates maintains a location in Louisville, Ky.
