Provided by YP.comHave had 3-4 service calls with 2 GE techs in past 30 days to stop water from leaking out of refrigerator and soaking our kitchen floor. we were told to remove all food, turn off appliance, and wait until Monday.
I have had major surgery 2 weeks ago and now have no where to store food. Paid $349 for supposedly completed repair work but 2 days later same problem--leaking water soaking kitchen floor. Extreme difficulty understanding why GE can't fix problem. Tire, hungry, need ice and convenient refrigerator to heal---please someone help solve our family's problem.

Provided by YP.comWe were charged $125.15 for 5 minutes of work in addition to paying for parts and a service call. In doing research online, the parts price also seemed excessive. I will not use GE Repair in the future.

Provided by YP.comI had schedule an appointment a week ago and let them know i have work at 12 the day on the appointment therefore he would need to be at my house before then. He never showed. At 11:15 I had called to see where he was and the operator told me he was not showing to be on his way. I made a statement to let them know he was a no show and I was informed that he would not be considered a no show until 12. The operator told me she did see a note in the system that the tech needs to be at my house before 12 but she said they use it as a guide but cant promise anything. The tech then called at 1130 said he would show in 15 minutes which would put it at 1145. I was really made and let him know he was suppose to be at my house before 1130. He said he never knew of the note because it is all computerized and he was not told of the note. It was very frustrating. I would not recommend them to any one due how they handle their customers. Do not use them!

Provided by YP.comIncompetent, rude, unreliable. Paid $ 130 plus for refrigerator compressor overload relay and service call that didn't fix the problem and they won't stand behind it. It's not the first negative experience with these people but it will absolutely be my last. Do yourself a huge favor and call someone else!

Provided by YP.comHere is my experience, I hope it helps someone. I called GE to schedule an appointment to repair my GE washer. They told me that a diagnostic fee of $74.95 would be required, I said fine. The technician came out and without even looking at my washer told me that the problem could not possibly have anything to do with my washer (the problem is that I'm getting bleach spots on my towels and sheets and now starting on some of my clothes). I argued with him for about 10 minutes. I told him I don't even use bleach. NOW HERE IS THE SCAM.......BY TELLING ME THAT THE PROBLEM HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY WASHING MACHINE FOR THAT PLEASURE OF ARGUING WITH ME.......THEY CALL THAT CONSUMER EDUCATION AND TACK ON ANOTHER $40.99 (I AM NOT KIDDING AND THE GUY HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME WITH A STRAIGHT FACE)!!!!!!!! I refused to pay, told him I would be filing a claim with the BBB as well as any other agency I could think of. When I called customer service to complain they said they would not charge me. MY MESSAGE IS BE VERY CAREFUL BECAUSE GE IS OUT TO CHARGE FOR BOGUS INFORMATION WHICH THEY CALL CONSUMER EDUCATION!!!!!

Provided by YP.comHow do you review a service that does not exist even though it is posted as such.for the Coeur d' Alene Idaho area. Absolutely pure crap! You have to pay $90.00 to get someone out of Spokane just to look at your item. Should not
sell the GE appliances in areas that you can not offer the same service that you would receive if you lived in a different
state. Will never ;buy anothe GE applaince!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Provided by YP.comThis is by far the worse customer service I have ever received.
After my initial estimate was completed, and second appointment was made for the repairs to be completed. I took off work, and the technician never came. The appointment was rescheduled, and again the technician never came. I had already paid in the full for service at the time of the initial estimate. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone to help you. This company no-showed me twice, and never called to advise they werent going to be able to make it. I am currently trying to get my money back because my appliance is still in pieces from the initial visit and it was never fixed. Do not trust them, they are EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNORGANIZED.

Provided by YP.comHave a current paidup service contract
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was told with my first call to 800-626-2001 when refridgerator was leaking buckets that I needed to tell them why it was leaking before they could send anyone out 5 days later.
Dumb idiot, If I was a service technician I would not be calling them.
Call today was told the service contract does not cover the meat drawer working. NOTE! this is a part of the cooling, DUH!
On top of that they no longer have a service man in my area
":maybe I could just call Home Depot & they could tell me some one"
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MARKED GE
RUN LIKE H*** THE OTHER WAY

Provided by YP.comTerrible. Slow, Expensive, But if you have a higher technology appliance, such as the new computer controlled front load washers (I have a Sears HE2, it is 3 years old and now has failed.) Sears will not provide any technical data or error codes to independent service shops, thus they are the only game in town.
In the past, I have always purchased Sears products. The reason I did was the repair and parts service departments.
Now, they restrict information inorder to force you to use their service department. Furthermore, the centralization of the repair customer service means that the people you talk to (provided you do not get dropped in a transfer - I did four times) know nothing of the repair.
This is the last time I buy Sears. Next Time Home Depot, Whirlpool, Lowe's, or any one else. Buyer beware.

Provided by YP.comI agree with previous review. They really dont care about customers. The service call for my GE Profile fridge was $110 just to come out! They guy came and gave me a quote that made my hair stand up. Never I will buy other ge products or call them for service! Horrible~

Provided by YP.comThe repair person didn't know what he was doing. I called the GE appliance line - they were rude - put me on hold for over 20 minutes - when a live person would come on the phone - they would put me on hold some more.
They were unable to accommodate my schedule - they wouldn't listen to me - the part that just really amazed me was how rude they were.
I would think with the economy, they would be concerned about the customer. I used the website - they don't read their emails and there definitely isn't a customer service department to do anything about.
I would suggest that they make an effort to accommodate the customer - they would want the customer to continue buying GE products. I think they should train their phone people to be people oriented.
