Farm Credit Services of Mid-America, located in Louisville, Ky., is a cooperative, member-owned company that provides financing services for more than 65,000 farm customers throughout Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee. It offers loans for farm real estate, equipment, buildings and other capital needs. FCS also makes loans to finance cars, trucks, lawn tractors, educational needs and building and remodeling country homes. The company is part of the Farm Credit System, one of the largest single providers of credit to American agriculture. FCS of Mid-America gets its funding from AgriBank, a St. Paul, Minn.-based wholesale bank that serves a 15-state area.
