I recently had a tire repair at the LA store that took an hour and half to complete. Part of the tire nuts were "air gunned" down, part were tightened using an adjustable pressure wrench. No effort was made to realign the tire to its original position on the wheel; nor was the tire and wheel "rebalanced". It also appeared that an SAE socket was used instead of a metric, which may explain why the socket continually "locked" on the lug nut (does this lead to "rounding off" the edges of the lugnut?). The tech indicated that the store did not have a 21mm socket in the shop--even though this is a farm store that sells sockets among other things. The repair itself was a small patch with attached "plug" -- other shops might have chosen to use a larger patch on a heavy duty van with handicapped lift for a wheelchair bound passenger. The tech himself seemed like a really nice guy despite all the problems.
