Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center is a referral hospital for horses. Founded in 1972, Alamo Pintado provides hospital facilities such as rehabilitation, teaching and research for horses. The hospital s goal is to provide advanced medical technology, diagnosis, treatment and care through research. More than 3,500 horses from pets to show horses, to Olympic team athletes, thoroughbred race horses pass through Alamo Pintado each year. Its facilities include surgical centre, emergency care, recovery, diagnostic imaging, hyperbaric chamber and neonatal intensive care unit. The company headquarters is in Los Olivos, Calif.
