Division of Hematology/Oncology is operated by the IU Department of Medicine, which is a part of the Indiana University School of Medicine. The division offers a variety of programs for training clinicians and scientists. It also trains doctoral candidates in basic and translational research related to benign hematology and cancer medicine. In addition to various formal training programs, it organizes weekly educational conferences and seminars. The division s clinical services include inpatient hematology, oncology and bone marrow transplantation. It also undertakes specific laboratory and clinical research activities and active research programs in tumor biology, hematopoiesis, signal transduction and molecular biology. It additionally offers patient care programs in breast and testis cancer, hematology and hematologic malignancies, and thoracic, gynecological and genitourinary oncology.
