Provided by YP.comI had my first visit here and will not go back. After I took a seat in the lobby area, I overheard a woman who had returned describing a problem with her nails and asking if they could redo them. They took her back somewhat reluctantly. She had a little girl with her (about 3 years old). A man who works there asked another woman ( may the grandmother of the little girl) if she was the girls mother, as she was still seated in the lobby area. His broken english was very hard to understand. However, I did make out him saying "We don't want her here" gesturing to the back area for pedicure. I thought this was quite rude.
After I was seated in the massage chair, I waited for at least 15 minutes to be helped. The area was almost full with customers, so I was patient. Although, I was not greeted by any of the girls in the area for about 10 min to let me know they would be helping me.
I'm not expert on chemicals used during pedicures, but Im sure that it should NOT be a painful experience. I never got the name of the girl who worked on my feet, so I can only warn you by describing her physical appearance. She was dark complected, maybe hispanic, she spoke good english, had two distinct moles on her face. Her technique was lacking completely. Either she was having a bad day or she thought she knew from some where. I've never seen someone so aggressive in cutting the cuticle area around the nail. It hurt! I did not say anything as I'm usually more patient in nature than others. At one point I jumped as she cut at live skin. It was at that time I told her it hurt. No duh! I started a conversation with the woman in the next chair to get my mind off of how pissed I was getting. I had mentioned a street name near where I live, and the girl doing my nails suddenly spoke. She repeated the street name. So i look over at her and acknowledge that yes that is what I said. I maintain eye contact with her to see if she elaborates on a reason for wanting to confirm the name. No comment from her just a slight nod of her head. Do you know that point in a situation where you just know something is just strange? Creepy? I kept my cool.
So at some point there was a clear chemical poured over my nails. About half of my cuticles burned like hell. She took chunks of skin from my feet. Wonderful! I paid and even left her a tip. I dont know of many others that would accept this kind of treatment. I will avoid this place like the plague!
sorry about your experience at the salon with that employee. she was new to the salon and we did not know she was bad at her job. after a few complaints we finally let her go.. please reconsider and come back to try us again.. thank you!
