Founded in 1924, Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic offers mental health care services to children up to the age of 10. It provides psychotherapy, rehabilitative, clinical supervisory and psychiatric support services. The clinic operates an early intervention training institute that offers community-based, educational services for children. Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic has a staff of mental health professionals, social service providers, nurses and teachers. It conducts psychology internship training sessions in outpatient and day treatment services and didactic seminars. Its outpatient services include assessment and evaluation, psychological testing, individual, group and family therapy, consulting, and public and private services for individuals who are suffering from substance abuse.
