Disappointed does not begin to...

Disappointed does not begin to express my feelings for this school. My niece is a student and has been suffering from bullies tormenting her daily. The administration has been notified numerous times and nothing seems to be done about it. If you want your children to be protected I suggest you look into other schools.

After registering my daughter ...

After registering my daughter for the first time, I was told that Vista Charter Middle School abides by IEP (Individualized Education Program) guidelines and that my daughter would receive services for her educational needs. It took several encounters with the staff reminding them that she had IEP paper work before I finally had a meeting to discuss her needs and after receiving a D on science class work, before even discussing her issues and needs which under the circumstances should not even applied! It was at this meeting that they told me they couldn't provide services and my daughter would be better off at a different school without support on where she should go. Isn't it the responsibility of a school to read a new students files before starting a new school year? From day one, she did not receive any guidance nor support in the classroom. We were lied to and feel that they let my daughter down. I do not recommend any charter school to anyone, it's all about numbers to them. School is not a competition with other schools, only in sports. It should only matter how our kids do in school to help their future not to please the corporate force behind them. They may be LAUSD affiliated but, not LAUSD family and all my children attended LAUSD Public schools and always will. Charter schools have ALOT of improving to do and until you make these improvements, my kids will have nothing to do with you!
