The Mirman School, founded in 1962, offers special education programs to gifted and talented children ages 5-to-14. It has an enrollment of 330 students in grades one through nine. The school offers a variety of subjects in its curriculum, including English, foreign languages, science, social studies, mathematics, history and physical education. The extracurricular activities offered by the school include yearbook, performing arts, dramatics, speech and music concerts. It also undertakes various community-based projects, such as Friends Of Animals, Pediatric Aids, Headstart and Tree People. The amenities offered by the school include amphitheater, library with Internet access, music center, auditorium, and science and computer laboratories. It has a parents' service league that supports school activities and assists in fund-raising activities. The Mirman School is located in Los Angeles.
